Love is a free-spirited bird in other words; one of the more famous arias in Carmen which (in an unusually cultured week for us …) Tony & I went to see yesterday with our friend Aaron. It was Tony’s first Opera; so probably just as well it was a cut-down version (80 minutes!). Great voices.
The more exciting news, though, is that (thanks to our friend Brian – the Director of the Chicago Opera Theater), Tony’s been able to start experimenting with live-performance photography, taking some brilliant shots (see them here ) of the cast of Owen Wingrave in dress rehearsal; some of which the theater’s PR team have sent out to the media as part of their press pack for the show! International recognition can’t be far away … 🙂
